What an exceptional start to shearing. Mid April to mid May meant what was seemingly an extended winter with cold weather, flooding, and us dodging rain showers. This meant for a very challenging start to shearing, however, towards the end of May, as we were just heading off on our travels for several weeks to visit you all, the sun started to shine, please would all of you keep everything crossed that this now remains for the summer.
As you know, this shearing season is really important as my nephew, Brooke, is developing his own shearing list, and next year we will be having two teams out shearing under The Alpaca Shearer portfolio. Due to developing Brookes list, you have the 'Three Musketeers' (us) which means Theo (who some of you may have already met) is joining us for this shearing season to further develop and train his camelid skills to support either Brooke or I shearing next year.We are super excited so be seeing you all. For you that have seen us before and for anybody new that has contacted us, we have you on our schedule and we look forward to seeing you over the coming weeks.
See you all soon. Scott.
