Rolling into Spring, rolling into more daylight hours, rolling into shearing season, rolling forward with training (internal and external), rolling forward with business development plans…it is a busy time for us all (but this is me… so there’s always time for a cuppa LOL).
There is much news to share training and business-wise, but I can save that until next time, as much more of a priority is you and your alpacas and this year's shearing. Our planning for shearing this year is well underway, the clients who we sheared last year plus our new clients have been mapped out into a schedule by Brooke and myself, we are now just confirming our accommodation on route before Lisa gives you a call to say hello and chat through our shearing schedule and your alpaca family.
This year our new ‘Warrior Princess’ van will arrive with not just myself and Brooke but also Theo (some of you may have met Theo at the end of last shearing season or over husbandry/ matings and castrastion support work)). Theo is our ‘alpaca lad’ within our training and development program, as it mentions on our website team page, Theo supports both Brooke and myself whilst shearing at the same time as gaining hands-on experience to be either mine or Brookes 2024 shearing support as part of our developments this year will be supporting Brookes own 2024 shearing list.
We are all super excited about the development of both Brooke, (many of you will have witnessed this over the last few years) and Theo, both of whom, like myself and anyone connected with my business has your alpacas welfare whatever your situation at the heart of our work.
I very much look forward to seeing you all soon.
Scott
